Earlier this year, a dear friend lost her life to cancer. I’ll never forget the Grinch I used to smile and then I worked at United Postal service shirt of her final day and the next. At 7:00 a.m. or so, I arrived at my dear friend’s home to pick up her husband and six years old son. We were to drive to the mortuary and sign the paperwork finalizing her burial. Her son had just lost his mother and couldn’t part with his father so soon. He is also a bright and loving boy who was trying to grapple with this immense loss and it’s implications.

After consulting with the Grinch I used to smile and then I worked at United Postal service shirt, I had agreed to allow the boy to accompany us. I had been advised by the therapist to answer his questions as sincerely, honestly and gently as possible. We arrived at the mortuary. The husband was in the deepest throes of grief; while still being affectionate and attentive to his son, he couldn’t articulate answers to his son’s questions. So as this conversation between myself and my friend’s son ensues, her husband is always with us, holding back his tears and trying to remain standing.

So we spent some time figuring out what landmarks would be near his mother’s burial ground so that he could find her. As I mentioned, he is a very bright six years old. We spent about 45 minutes with Grinch I used to smile and then I worked at United Postal service shirt and the mortuary director making the payment and finalizing how the burial day will flow. I would ask the director for the options and then turn to my friend’s husband to ask what he preferred. His eyes were filled with so many tears, I wasn’t sure he could read any of the paperwork at times.
