I am a single mother who has severe asthma. My children are home, one from college and one still in high school. I’m also a Data Analyst who has watched the statistics and crisis response of a dozen nations since February. We quarantined on March 6, weeks before anyone else. And because I know that districts make decisions using several metrics, which consider a community, not the needs of an individual family, and which includes an expected and tolerated mortality rate, I’ve made the tough decision. No school attendance for the fall.
