As I’ve stated on this sub a few times, I grew up without the benefit society in the woods with only a handful of other Jose altuve grande hou 2021 shirt . I didn’t know sexism was a thing until I was a teen and entered into a mainstream city school. It terrified me, destroyed my sense of self worth. I was more appalled by the women that played along! I never knew women like that, only strong ones that farmed, worked, made the decisions, and generally didn’t put up with that garbage. I went to high school in the late 90s. I was told girls don’t like the music I liked, or that it was cute. No in between of it just being a thing that affected absolutely no one. I watched the girls around me act like small children to gain men’s approval- dressing like little girls and giggling, pretending that they don’t know how to do anything on their own, being helpless. It creeped me out……

At the same time, I was insulted HEAVILY for my appearance of ambiguous ethnicity, I had never seen or heard racism before and Jose altuve grande hou 2021 shirt shocked me. Logically I knew of the existence of racism and discrimination, but I believed when I was told that it was crimes of a different era. Nope.
And just today, on the marriage subreddit, there was this post where some guy was listing his wife’s physical flaws and then talking about how he loves her anyways. At first glance, it seemed nice, but I quickly realized the subtle sexism (luckily, a few other feminists jumped in), but most of the responses were positive. Women were defending this guy by saying that they would like to be objectified by men as long as talking about their flaws meant they were loved. Like acknowledging physical flaws as making someone less desirable was somehow going to benefit women. But in reality, it’s only normalizing the objectification of women as a whole, and further devaluing is based on arbitrary standards of beauty that don’t apply in the real world. Who tf wants their husband to say “I love you despite your flaws” vs “I love you because you’re awesome”? Apparently quite a few brainwashed female redditors and 100% of the men on reddit.
