That seems like Nice lo pan you were not brought upon this world to get it shirt. I get that monetizing convenience is easy, but the worst part about any theme park is all the waiting, and anything you can do to minimize it will drive up customer satisfaction and therefore repeat customers/good PR. If you can virtually get rid of all the fuss involved with getting a fast pass (going to the ride, queueing up, fiddling with the machine, then going back somewhere you can do something productive with your time) simply by letting people use an app that you already built and have working, associating a cost to it seems completely counterproductive. The park should want everyone to use it, and I would assume the expected overall cost from customers using the system is actually negative, i.e. it makes them money (if nothing else, from all the physical passes they don’t need to print).

I guess the counterpoint would be that all the Nice lo pan you were not brought upon this world to get it shirt they save not dealing with fast passes is time they spend at other rides/services, increasing occupancy and driving up non-fast-pass queue times, but it still seems to me like the subjective user experience should be better overall (but of course, human psychology is a weird thing, so it could possibly turn out to be perceived the other way).
