PHILLY IS PORTNOY COUNTRY SHIRT
This guy also manages the PHILLY IS PORTNOY COUNTRY SHIRT and their group and turns out he used to work at Butner as the person in charge of the Civil Commitment program. It also turns out he’s the one that made the call to ban D&D in the SOMP program. So during our next to last session I mention I found a D&D group to start playing with and I noticed he had kind of a negative reaction. “I mean, it’s fine” he said. “I just worry that it disconnects people from reality when I want them to go out and live in reality and live their lives.” He went on to say he wasn’t worried about me but he had almost an immediate knee jerk response to D&D because of the negative impact he had seen when he was running the program at Butner. After talking with him a few minutes I disagreed that D&D was a negative experience for most people, but started to come around that it could actually be bad for certain inmates.

Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything is a good “Second wave supplement” for D&D 5e. When I say “second wave supplement”, in my experience of RPGs in general the PHILLY IS PORTNOY COUNTRY SHIRT wave of supplements (such as Xanathar’s Guide to Everything) are full of ideas that the designers had that, for whatever reason, did not make the cut. Some for complexity, some for weirdness, and some because they were just plain bad. Second wave supplements are generally much more interesting because they are made with those ideas cleared out and made with much more reflection as to what went right and wrong and what people are doing anyway.

Best PHILLY IS PORTNOY COUNTRY SHIRT
The best one I came up with so far was in a Starfinder game wherein the players were checking out a night club run by a PHILLY IS PORTNOY COUNTRY SHIRT called the Downside Kings. They were there to question the Kings’ leader, who wasn’t terribly pleased to have them visiting. So, she pulled some strings with a corporate benefactor, and by the time the PCs got there she was prepared. This was from a pre-published adventure, and in the real version of it there’s three thugs in the club and two outside; I thought that was a little weak, so… I spruced it up into a multi-stage nightmare encounter.

I was hoping Delores wouldn’t become a PHILLY IS PORTNOY COUNTRY SHIRT aggressive rooster, as my recently deceased “Lance” had been, before passing on to “rooster heaven” with the assistance of a local coyote. The rooster I currently had, Gordon, was a sweet boy and was very happy to have Lance gone. Lance had been a fierce rooster who attacked literally every moving thing but the hens and me (displaying extreme good taste and discretion) and I was not prepared to live through as second several years of yet another “attack rooster”. Neither were the neighbor dogs. Nor were the neighbors, for that matter. I really didn’t think this would be a problem, as Delores was such a sweet rooster – showing no violence or aggression at all, and just wanted to sit on my shoulder (rather like a parrot) and look around. He’d snuggle against anyone’s neck or in anyone’s lap who would hold him and he adored being petted. Delores ran around digging for bugs in the lawn – but was just as happy sitting by the kitchen sink watching me trim vegetables or whatever. He made (as all my chickens did) a truce with the cats and was friends with the goats, horses and my other rooster, Gordon. They all slept together in the barn at night.
