A rework needs to please the old playerbase of Stepping Into Chapter 77 Like A Boss shirt, update their kit to modern standards, try to keep the kit healthy and get a bigger playerbase. Not to mention update all their skins. Risk would be for the champion to lose its old playerbase (Aurelion is a prime example) while the reward would be a bigger playerbase. Fact is also, even if the rework is a success people get nostalgic over the old kit and even if they would not want to turn back I feel like the simple thought off “I wish I could play old Talon just once again” happens from time to time. Atleast that’s my thought.

Best Stepping Into Chapter 77 Like A Boss shirt
I rather have my champion be weak personally than have the risk of it feeling nothing like Stepping Into Chapter 77 Like A Boss shirt. But that’s my personal take here. I remember the mini rework Syndra received and while it was only her passive she felt vastly different to play imo. New Champions have way less risk there, you don’t need to please an old playerbase, you don’t need to keep an old fantasy of the kit intact. YOu just simply need to create a champion which is pleasing to an audience. So in an objective viewpoint new champions are easier with way less risk involved than reworking a champion.
