I had this burst of inspiration to paint something I saw when I woke up. A blurry image (without my Stitch todays mood cranky with a touch of psycho shirt on) of an abstract summer scene in shades of green and yellow. It was an image of the sun shining through the leaves and trees. It is something I see often but not in this exact way – or at least not consciously. If I have seen this – an image out the window in a series of different sized smudgy dots of green and hold – before it didn’t penetrate my consciousness. I wished I had painted it right then and there as I was seeing it. It might have turned out awful splotchy or it might have turned out in a lovely organized pattern of outdoor spring time greenery and sunlight color circles.

I find that doing something, like cleaning, or organizing stuff if I am up to it, and listening to podcasts about things that interest me can help to break that Stitch todays mood cranky with a touch of psycho shirt feeling.
